Well, there are several solutions out there that promise to correct this condition and improve the levels of the natural hormone in the body.

One such is testosterone boosters, products that claim to be effective in boosting testosterone production and improving workouts by increasing energy and stamina. While they may work, they have several potential side effects. These are discussed below.

 Testosterone booster side effects

 1. Testicular pain One of the most reported side effects is testicular pain, which is believed to be the result of the testicles producing sperm and testosterone in large quantities. Although slight, it can cause a lot of discomfort. You can try relieving the symptoms by getting some sleep or else having sex.

 2. Abnormal muscle growth Individuals who are looking to add their muscle mass could experience abnormal muscle growth, a condition referred to as myalgia. This is because, while testosterone boosters are effective in increasing muscle, they may not increase the overall strength of the ligaments that join the muscles to the bone. In some cases, the ligaments (or even the muscles themselves) could tear. You should try to balance your workout regimen to ensure positive & healthy muscle growth.

 3. Increased aggressiveness Studies suggest that high levels of testosterone in the body may cause increased aggressive behaviors among some men. They may become more hostile and hot-tempered. Using these products can exacerbate such traits, especially if they're already present in your system.

4. Body odor You may have pungent body odor as a result of using testosterone boosters. The odor is caused by the activity of apocrine glands that release hormonally driven sweat. With more testosterone in your system, these glands will likely produce more sweat leading to a pungent smell.

5. Anxiety & depression Individuals using the supplements may experience depression, although the underlying cause is unknown. Furthermore, some may become over anxious probably because of their own expectations.

 6. Acne Another commonly reported side effect is acne, which usually appears on the back. It’s caused by increased production of natural oils that’s triggered by testosterone and DHT, its more potent derivative.

 7. Mild headaches There have been reports of some users experiencing headaches, although this happened occasionally. These are typically mild (not migraine) and can be relieved by taking medications.

 8. Increased estrogen levels This may be common among men whose bodies release the aromatase enzyme in high amounts. The enzyme is responsible for converting testosterone into estrogen. In this case, increased testosterone levels may lead to increased estrogen levels in the system (because the body has more androgens). This can be minimized by taking zinc and certain supplements.

 9. Anemia Using testosterone boosters can lead to anemia, a condition characterized by deficiency in hemoglobin /red blood cells in the blood. This can result into weariness and increased risk to colds and infections.

 10. Reduced testes size Though these products are taken to boost energy especially in older men, they may result in shrinkage of testes. Some laboratory tests have also found that they can lead to infertility, probably because the reduction in size of the testes can lead to a decrease in sperm count.

11. Sleeping problems In some cases, you can have difficulty getting a good night's sleep. These boosters can lead to sleeping problems such as apnea or, where they already exist, aggravate them.

12. Long-term effects There have also been reports, especially in Europe on the effects of long-term use of these products. Some studies suggest that the kidneys could be seriously damaged by prolonged use. In general, it’s advisable to take a break from using the products every so often.

 13. Other potential side effects • Reduced use of the bathroom or problems in urination as the prostate tissues are stimulated, • Significant enlargement of breasts, • In some cases, the levels of cholesterol & lipids in the body can be affected, • Increased risk of prostate cancer, • Increase in heart problems, especially heart attack.

It’s very important to consult with a doctor before deciding to take testosterone boosters. That way, you can be able to determine whether they're right for you and understand the various side effects they may cause not all tests boosters are the same.

Theses are the side effects of testosterone boosters called "prohormones" which thankfully have been made illegal by the American Government most of them were actually anabolic steroids.
